Carbon fibre wands sit on the top of the mast holding the anemometer and wind direction sensor as far above the rig as possible so as to minimise the effects of upwash. The wands are supplied painted ready to accept instruments from all major manufacturers of intrumentation. We can source complete wands with wind instruments and have these shipped worldwide. At the time of writing just on 200 wands have been supplied.
In the USA Custom Navigation of Connecticut and Rhode Island supply these wands from stock and they are a well respected supplier able to fit anemometers and provide professional electronic and transducer support.
